Hi! I'm Chanel Bates, owner and operator at Wildflower Ink & Beauty. Originally from San Diego, I ended up in Neosho, Missouri in 2018 after life put my family and I on a different path than we expected. Since being here I have started multiple businesses, but this one has given me more purpose than I have felt in a long time. I have always been artistic and multi passionate, but haven't always known what to do with my creativity. I've done hair, have a degree in business, and love to decorate, and wanted to use my background to start something I could utilize in every area. I started doing permanent makeup in 2020 after I realized what I was doing wasn't giving me purpose. Wildflower Ink & Beauty came to be after I decided I wanted to create a fun funky space that celebrates differences while also being inclusive to people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and beliefs. I did a permanent makeup apprenticeship under Heidi Kidd whose business is located in St. Louis Missouri, and received my tattoo license from the state of Missouri. I love what I do, and hope to teach others to be successful in this fun and fulfilling industry.
